The PCW design/build story.

SIGNATURE CRAFTSMANSHIP FOR 15 YEARS AND COUNTING

Mark & Angi Polderman have a passion for what they do and love working together. PCW is truly a family business. Angi works closely with clients on design and Mark is a master craftsman, bringing ideas to life.

Born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Angi has spent most of her life immersed in the arts. She carries those sensibilities over into her work today. Whether creating new space or redesigning old, she loves getting to know her clients’ tastes and incorporating them into her designs. Classical ballet training led Angi to the University of Michigan as a dance major and then to various parts of the country, where her discipline and love of the arts were strengthened.

Mark was also born in Kalamazoo and, like Angi, grew up in Mattawan, a small, close-knit community. Growing up on a lake instilled a love of nature in him at an early age. He began his carpenter training just after high school. Soon he was gaining the skills he’s known for today – creativity, precision and an exacting eye for detail. He fine-tuned his craft not only locally but also in San Francisco, Washington, DC and Chicago, where he attended design school.

Mark began PCW as a small fine woodworking company. But clients soon learned Mark’s talents and abilities could be utilized in many ways. PCW has grown organically from its founding in 2001 to today. When the projects became larger, Angi joined Mark as a designer and project manager and they discovered their talents complemented each other. Together they seek to give their clients a full and rich experience from start to finish. Their projects now range from simple design work all the way to fully custom home design and build projects. And they still offer custom woodworking services, as well! Mark & Angi believe that thoughtful planning and solid construction practices lead to beautiful homes that will stand the test of time.

Along with their three children, the couple resides in Mattawan where they are active members of the community. As a family they enjoy the outdoors and spending time together.
